No One Is Home … Yet

This 4.88 acre parcel of land has been sold to a developer who will build 14 single-family residential homes across the street from us.
This will change our entire neighborhood and add an additional 40-plus cars and the noice that comes with that. …progress.
Sad news. The developer madness has no limits!

Unfortunately people have to have houses to live in and as long as they'll buy them... Very sad indeed. What a lovely field behind that mailbox.

Currently there is a four-room poorly maintained cabin type of home in the middle of 4.88 acres of open land. It’s a beautiful piece of property but it will change the area where we live, which is a 55 and older development of double-wide manufactured homes. We have lived here for ten years and it is such a nice area at the top of a hill. Each person owns their own home but the land is rented. It is a meticulously maintained development of homes for seniors. There has always been a waiting list to live here. We are surrounded by ponds (many of my photos are of our development/ponds).
But… you can’t fight progress. Our development was developed in 1967 and has about 360 homes for seniors. All of the photos I have taken of our ponds and wildlife are within our development. The one great thing is that the owners of our property have done is constant updating. If an older home comes up for sale, they buy it, removed it and replace it with a brand new home. Lots of great rules that keep the area neat and clean for all to enjoy. We feel blessed and I shouldn’t complain.

I hope that things turn out better than you might think right now. Is this development going to be for seniors as well?
