We wandered down to the lake today, to see if we could get a sunset shot. One by one, sometimes two by two, we were awed by 12 eagles. I was only able to get a decent shot of these 5. The distance was too great. They were making noises like little birds. Feeding on left over fish from the ice fisherman/woman. Made my day!
It would make my day, too. Even if I wasn't able to take pictures, I would have loved to just sit/stand and observe them. Even though there's some distance, a picture of 5 eagles is super cool in my book.
Oh my gosh! I have been on a quest to see and capture a shot of an eagle, and in California, it's not an easy thing to do as they tend to be rare. I finally saw one from afar, and got a photo which wasn't clear, but I was excited just to see one....and you see 12!!....LOL. What part of the country are you in? This is great!
@camarobabe I live in Maine. These guys having been hanging around for a few days. If I enjoyed being outside in the winter I could probably get one everyday. They like to feast on whats left of bait and junk fish on top of the ice.
