“Our greatest strength as a human race is our ability to acknowledge our differences, our greatest weakness is our failure to embrace them.” Judith Henderson
The moose is almost done. This is Katie taking a break on the hide. We decided to butcher it ourselves. We spent today and will spend all of tomorrow doing that.
I almost always appreciate the wonderful comments and the time that folks take to look at my photos. But, please, don't knock my life style. I come from a family of hunters. It's what we do, it's how we live. It's a blessing to be able to see and feel and know where our food is coming from. I've lost a follower because of this and that's ok. To each his own. It would be a dull world if we were all the same. Have a great day where ever you are and what ever you do!
Nice capture, Amanda. The controlled and respectful hunting of animals that are not endangered is part of "man" harvesting a gift from the blessings of nature given to us. You are and should be proud of this humble and reverent acceptance of the gifts given us and of the tradition in harvesting those gifts.
I agree with you. Lately it feels like there is so much anger on 365. I love how so many of us, who are completely different have a love of the same hobby. Hunting is a way of life for us animals. I'm glad you're proud of it
No apologies necessary, Amanda....my family have hunted moose and deer for as far back as I can remember...and although I am not fond of killing...I do like to eat! And moose steak was pretty darn good...as I remember!
Hunt away. Keep taking pictures and sharing. We are enjoying it. And do not forget....this is your project, about your life and what is interesting to you. (N)
@friesianfury@bobfoto Hell no! I didn't delete it! It's in my "second" album. :) Thank you all for your kind words and support. It takes all kinds to make the world go 'round.
