Still not my official "step-daughter" after 18 years. I have enjoyed loving her and being a part of her life. Is it normal to think that she is not making the right choice in a partner? I'm happy that she seems happy but....damn it, I'm not going to lie. It ain't easy to put on a supportive face. Yes, I said that, out loud. (Give me strength to zip my lips from this day on.)
I always think back to when I was 19 and marrying a young man that I had only known for 4 months and he was the only boy I had ever dated. It didn't matter what my parents or friends said - I was determined to marry him. Fortunately, it has turned out but I think you have to say what you feel and then let it go and pray it all works out. She's going to make a beautiful bride Amanda.
@shirleytemple Thank you Shirley! She is 23 and I sure do remember young love. I have to agree, she will be a beautiful bride. Time will tell about all of the rest. :)
It's hard when someone you love is making choices you feel will only end in hurt ( or continue to hurt ). Not much you can do but be there for them though :)

Let's hope you are proved wrong. I have often thought about how awful this must be when thinking about my own young son's futures. They aren't at that stage yet, but I can imagine how you must feel. Lovely shot by the way!
Ahhhh i know that feeling... i saw my sister making a mistake, it was hard to be happy for her when deep down i knew... and unfortunately its ended in disaster (court, lawyers, custody etc)... I will cross EVERYTHING for you that it works out just fine and your being an over protective step mum, who only wants the very best for someone you love can care for deeply.
