This bird flew right into the window of our living room! I thought it was dead, at first, but then it sat up in the garden, right outside the window, and started looking around... It was clearly pretty dazed, though, because it seemed to take a while to "remember" how to fly again!
While it was sitting, regaining its composure, it gave me the chance to get some great close-up photographs... Here's one of them!
(According to somebody on Twitter, this bird is a Goldcrest - I looked them up on the RSPB website, and that does seem plausible... If there are any bird experts on this site, would you agree with that?)
Yep! That's a goldcrest, Kit. Poor little thing, little being the operative word! This is our smallest bird in UK. Lucky you to see one so close, if not for a good reason. You must be well pleased with this great picture! I hope he's' found his way to a roost now!
There's always some thread or other discussing the whys and wherefors of the pop page but........the number of views you've had on this, you should be there Kit! I like it anyway!! and your mist around the green too. \:-)
