That is a very positive response to a very controversial issue. I don't know you but your photos always show me how a small thing could make a big difference for someone.
@wiesnerbeth Thank you, Beth. Several people in our congregation surprised me. Seems that most everyone recognizes that those kids have needs. Presbyterian Disaster Assistance told us what to send, and people came through way beyond our expectations. It'll be an on-going project I think. We're sending hygiene kits and "school" kits, with notebooks, crayons, pencils, scissors, rulers, etc. The kids won't necessarily be going to school, but they need something to do in those detention facilities.
