@eudora I was thinking about John Lewis' funeral service last night. After we watched parts of the funeral on TV, my husband shared with two of our biracial grandchildren his experiences growing up white in segregated Portsmouth, Virginia. My husband has Parkinson's Disease and can no longer easily write or type, so I am going to "interview" him and write down his memories for all our grandchildren. Memories like his and pictures like this one are important to our ongoing dialog on race.
@eudora Oh Diane, I'm sorry to hear that you're having to deal with Parkinson's. A good friend of mine is also struggling with it. So very difficult to watch. Interviewing him is a fantastic idea!
