My 22-year-old granddaughter is coming over on Easter for, among other things, a lesson in sewing on buttons. My fault--she lived with us from age 13 and I didn't teach her some of the basic life skills that we learned growing up.
@gijsje@eudora thank you! I had already been sewing clothing for a coupe of years by this time. I remember that fabric so well. The blouse was gray and the jumper was a tiny little printed corduroy. In fact, the reason I sought out the photo was that I saw a piece of similar fabric in a friend's quilt!
Wow! So fashionable and talented — I expected nothing less of you! Reading the comments — I love that the jumper is corduroy — that’s one of my favorite fabrics to use in quilts.
