Recreating my favorite childhood TV dinner

those were the days of the aluminum pans
What a fun idea! My favorite was Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, corn and chocolate cake. I need to recreate!

@scoobylou I remember those too. But the beanie-wienies, cornbread, and apples were my favorite. TV dinners were rare for us. It was a special treat to be allowed to set up the little tables and eat a TV dinner while watching The Wizard of Oz, which only came on once a year back then. I still have those TV tables.

I don’t think my mom ever got TV dinners — except once she got a turkey one when one of my brothers had to work at the movie theater on Thanksgiving and the rest of us went to my grandmother’s in Ohio for the weekend. I wonder if he even knew how to cook it? There were too many of us to have tv trays while actually watching tv!

@margonaut Haha! It was my suggestion — I thought it would be funny. We spent a lot of time annoying one another growing up!
