There is not a lot to say about this, it's a pine cone from a Monterey Pine ( Pinus radiata ). The Monterey Pine is native to the Central Coast of California.
However this cone has not been to the USA. It has come off a tree in Anglesey, which was grown from seed taken from a tree at Wylfa Nuclear Power Plant on Anglesey.
I have not checked to see if it glows in the dark.
