ANCIENT TREE by markp

ANCIENT TREE

I spent most of today walking up a mountain to get to a corrie, a glacial feature, containing a beautiful little loch. Took loads of photos and thought I had todays shot. I even went past the loch and climbed up the back wall to reach some of the remaining snow just so I would have a picture of standing in snow in June ! Not sure it was worth it, it was a lot higher than it looked. On the way back down, passed a group of fallen trees and thought there was something about them, so totally unplanned, dead trees two days in a row.
A super capture -Love the gnarled & lichen - covered branches but not sure about the *pink*effect !

@beryl Thank you Beryl, the light at the time was not very good and a 'normal ' shot just looked lifeless. I tried various B&W shots but then tried this in camera setting, I thought it made it look like an old faded picture and captured the ancient decayed feel in the woods. I must admit it does look 'pinker ' on here than in iPhoto, I have played around with it and it might need toning down just a tad.

@markp I understand where you're coming from & these colours don't always run true on our screens and can vary in altering the angle of the screen !--just tilted my screen and it looks really good - I agree the shot could have looked flat & lifeless & this has enhances the scene Carry on with the good work !!
