CABBAGE EATER

This is a Small White Butterfly ( Pieris rapae ), this is a male, the female has two small spots on each wing. Cabbages and other brassicas are amongst its caterpillars favourite food plants and it is a serious pest to cultivated crops.

I have never time to count their spots ,as they are to flighty in & are never still enough for long enough -- nice image !
