HISTORIC WEST BANK by markp

HISTORIC WEST BANK

Instead of standing in West Bank and shooting up towards the bridge, today I am standing on the bridge and shooting down. Looking up stream on the river Mersey, the white building is the Mersey Hotel, the red brick building next to it is Transporter House, the former offices of the Transporter Bridge Company. In front of this, the approach road for the Transporter Bridge heads out into the river. Now demolished, the Transporter Bridge built in 1905, was the first in Britain and also the largest built anywhere in the world. St.Mary's Church and Fiddlers Ferry Power Station are also visible.
That's a great shot - super cloud definition and general composition
