DECEMBER ROSE by markp

DECEMBER ROSE

Tis almost the end of the year, bleak mid Winter and this Rose is just beginning to bloom. Something strange is happening here. This was taken in heavy rain and strong wind, hence the raindrops. Not usual for the time of year. This is an old Rose bush and it must be quite tough as it lives right underneath a large tree, flowering throughout the year. Often it puts on a lovely show against the snow. However the flowers of this Rose are always white, this looks rather Pink! It has grown from the main bush as well, its not come up from a sucker. Very strange, but a welcome sight at this time of year.
So soft and delicate, so pretty!!
