I have had some great days up here in Scotland, but today was just AWESOME !
Quick recap.
Woke up, sat up in bed and looked out of the window just in time to see a Heron slipping down into the ditch at the edge of the garden to catch frogs. Managed a few shots.
Breakfast outside at Squirrel Cafe, no Squirrels today, but loads of birds, great food and hot sunshine, with Cairngorm as a backdrop.
Then down to Glen Feshie to do the long walk up to the snowline on Carn Ban More, over 3000 feet high.
Two Ravens and a Buzzard fighting above my head to prove who is King of the Skies.
At the snow, fabulous views for miles of snow covered peaks, and dinner, using a Kit-Kat as a spoon to scoop up fresh snow. ( Not the yellow kind.)
There is a lot of snow up there and could see a cliff face with tons of snow on it, with a long crack maybe 500 yards long, maybe more in it, just ready to split and go crashing down.
Lots more photos then the long drop back down into the valley and this waterfall which stretches a long, long way down through the forest.
Walking back to the car a little Vole ran across a couple of feet in front of me.
All of this was done in glorious sunshine and then the sun began to set and what a sunset it was.
Truly amazing, it was all sorts of colours and finally turned the entire sky Pink.
Add in all the Sun, scenery, fresh air, nature and peacefulness it really was one AWESOME DAY !!!
And it is only early March.
Another shot from today,
