This should be a lesson on how not to organise a successful night time shoot. I have had this in mind for a while, but kept meaning to go day time and find best spot in the light. Then the subject of night photography came up for ONS, no time to check it out. So 10 pm, pitch black night, tiny, very narrow little lane, no where to park or turn round, 300 hundred yard reverse back to main road. Leave car and walk down with camera and tripod and iPhone as a torch. Only place I could find in dark, where there were not hedges in the way was where there was a big ditch. Set up tripod on wrong side of ditch but then there was no room to stand, so this was done from a distance using the screen on the back of camera to set it up,as it was too high if I stood behind tripod, then step across, press shutter and jump back before self timer kicked in. Considering this was done in the dark I am quite happy, but think I can improve this with a bit more preparation.
PS. It also might have been a good idea in April to wear more than a T-shirt, there again jumping back and to kept me quite warm. Lol.
My other album has another sunset.
totally worth the adventure and I enjoyed the narrative chuckling with and at you at the same time ;). This is when I would like @steampowered to add a comment and you both would trade jokes. Fav for the effort and the bookmarked lesson and a fab night shot!
