I had an idea for today, but I had lots to do so no time to try it, so all of todays posts were taken earlier in the week. Here is another view of the Kestrel as he decided that he had, had enough of sitting and watching me.
Look closely and you can see he has got a BTO ring on his right leg, these are fairly common. However on his left leg he has another bright yellow ring on, with C40 on, this must be some sort of scientific study to see where they travel to. The large numbers will be visible though binoculars and it saves trying to catch the bird, and people can then report any sightings. You sometimes see these large rings on Swans.
