Don't you just love it when you have an idea and it turns out almost spot on.
I took the decorations and lights off the Christmas tree, today. As I carried it outside, I thought " Oh, this will be a good backdrop for a bird photograph. Maybe I can tempt a Goldcrest into it. "
So I put it in a good spot still with it's stand, in good light and somewhere I can stand, slightly out of view. I sprinkled a bit of grated cheese and suet on to it and waited. Within 5 minutes, this Starling had found it, and voila !!!!
Quite pleased with my idea.
On a more general note, it was a lovely, fairly mild sunny day today. In the garden I watched Wood Pigeons wooing, and Magpies inspecting their nest in the big tree.
Anybody ready for Spring ??
