A quick history of Britain's largest Cathedral, which was a bit longer in the making.
In 1880, the Diocese of Liverpool was founded. In 1902, Giles Gilbert Scott wins the competition to design the Cathedral at the the grand old age of 22 !
1904, King Edward VII lays the foundation Stone.
This part of the Cathedral, Lady Chapel was finished and consecrated in 1910.
However the whole Cathedral was not finished completely till 1978.
