HEADING NORTH

ISLAND HOPPING - Day One

I have been missing for a couple of weeks, the reason, I headed North in my quest to visit as many islands as I can this year. This time it is to the Orkneys that I was hoping to see. Long drive North, 500 miles, saw me arrive at my B&B just short of John O'Groats. Not a very inspiring shot today, this was grabbed as I had fish & chips in Golspie in the far North of Scotland. No excuse really as Golspie is quite a pretty village, and amongst its attractions is the wonderful Dunrobin Castle, and it also has a fabulous sandy beach.

@gilbertwood Thank you Denise, the last trip I got 17 1/2 islands, wondering if I can beat that total this time. Watch this space.
