This is just above the base station area for the Cairngorm Ski Centre at the bottom of one of the long runs for the skiers and snowboarders. This poor young girl was either not very good at snowboarding or tired. Watching her body language and the fact that when she hit the snow, she stayed sat there for a couple of minutes, I think she was worn out.
She was very lucky actually as she fell off before this. That was about a 100 yards higher up, and that time she hit a post stuck in the snow warning her not to go any further to my left. If she had not stopped, she would have been on a very steep snowy slope leading down to a very deep and rocky channel with a icy stream running through it.
Then she would really have gone for a Burton.
