One of this year's ambitions was to photograph a Kingfisher. Not just any Kingfisher, but an up close clear, sharp, detailed photograph of a Kingfisher. Well it has taken me most of the year, but I think I am almost there. I would prefer it without those other branches, but maybe that's next years project.

Mark, I would suggest this is just the start. Once you capture one shot there is always a better pose, background etc. Looks to me like a mature male all you have to do now is find his lady which he will be looking for pretty soon. Some say you are blessed if you see a Kingfisher!!
