TESTING THE NEW PERCHES by markp

TESTING THE NEW PERCHES

I had planned to go off in search of new subjects today, but it was such a gloomy, dismal, dark, grey day with no real prospects of it brightening up I decided to stay at home and get some of my many out standing jobs done instead. So I spent all morning doing a very major pruning job of the huge Holly, Hawthorne, Blackthorne, and Pyracanthus bushes up at the top of the garden where most of the feeders are. While I was doing this I was keeping an eye out for new perches that I might get the birds to pose on. When I had finished cutting, I got the camera out, put a bit of food down and within a few minutes the birds were testing the new perches, like this little Blue Tit.

Accomplished two deeds in one - got the pruning done that probably needed to be done and created some new photo ops. Smart thinking.
