The adult parent had been sitting quietly, when the youngster decided he was hungry. He started calling, swam over to the adult, and appeared to be making a nuisance of himself.
The parent then swam over towards where I was sat, closely followed by the noisy chick. The adult must have thought it was a good place to fish, and started diving down underwater. He was very often successful, and then gave the fish to the youngster.
After catching, and feeding the chick several times, the adult then ate one of the fish himself and swam off. Obliviously dinner time was over.
