Residing at the Highland Wildlife Park this Vicuna is along way from home. It is a native of Peru, living high up in the Andes.
It produces a very fine wool, which is very, very expensive. This is because it comes from wild animals, not domesticated stock, and the animals can only be shorn ever three years, due to very slow growth of the fleece.
It's not really a deer, it is related to Llama's, Alpaca's and distantly camels.
