LITTLE JENNY WREN by markp

LITTLE JENNY WREN

This is normally Britain's commonest breeding bird, although numbers plummet after a hard winter but can recover quickly. Despite it also being one of our smallest birds, it has a very loud voice. Most years, they seem to live down towards the bottom of the garden, but this one has started visiting around the feeders nearer the house. It is a Wren ( Troglodytes troglodytes ).
They are one of my favourite birds and we have several in our garden. They like to live together and they roost in the ivy on our house. Lovely capture

@rosiekind Thank you very much Rosie, yes they are cute, but seem to come in two sorts, very shy and retiring or very very cheeky.

@cailts thank you very much Clare

@milaniet Thank you very much Milanie
