GLIMPSE OF THE GREEN LOCHAN by markp

GLIMPSE OF THE GREEN LOCHAN

Walking up the Ryvoan Pass which takes you through from Glenmore to Nethy Bridge you come across this little gem. Called the Green Lochan and rightly so, in good light it looks green. I have played with the colour a little bit but only to bring the green up to what it really looks like. It really is this bright green. Close up the water is clean and crystal clear, I believe there is some kind of mineral deposit there probably copper.
My main album is back in the garden.

Nice shot. I saw a lake with similar colouring when I was in Alaska and had the same issue with photos. It looked much greener in person than it did in the pictures, certainly is a wonderful sight to see.
