Another from Lapwing Lake, a Dabchick, maybe better known as a Little Grebe ( Tachybaptus ruficolis), that scientific name is nearly longer than the bird. It is the smallest European Grebe, measuring only 9 to 11.5 inches long. They float around looking like little balls of fluff.
