I think that is where a lot of gamekeepers would like to put a lot of the Crow family, given their reputation for stealing eggs, chicks and small birds. However this Jay was more interested checking the coast was clear to come down and steal spilled peanuts from the squirrels.

My son has some feathers and the claws from a jay (gruesome I know). The bird flew into our kitchen window and choked on a hazelnut that it was carrying in its beak. The feathers are beautiful
