MV EIGG by markp

MV EIGG

This is the MV Eigg, in Port Askaig, normally works the Oban to Lismore route, but was being used as a replacement vessel on the Islay to Jura service.
Over 40 years old this is Calmac ferries oldest vessel.

You might just be able to see the bowl like shape of Port Askaig, with the Hotel to the left, car park hidden by the ship, and the main slipway to the right.

@richardhoeg Thank you Richard, it is a great area, and if you ever get over this way, I can give you a few tips and pointers re. the ferries and islands.

@markp Thanks! We may be over that way this October. My wife did her masters in the U.K., and we are trying to figure out some vacation spots to see while visiting friends.
