I have posted here before about the new bridge they are busy building across the River Mersey to replace our very overused present one.
This is the base of one of three legs, that they are building in the river to support the bridge. Look closely between the two cranes and you can see the concrete base beginning to take shape.
There is still a long way to go as you can see, but it is supposed to be open in 20 months time. From some of the stories I am hearing, I am beginning to doubt that.
