Apart from the more traditional ski tows up the mountain, if you wish to snowboard or ski on Cairngorm you can travel on this. This is Scotland's only funicular railway, and the UK's highest. It takes you quickly and in relative comfort from the base station, ( c2,500 feet), to the Top Station, ( c3,500 feet). There you can visit, amongst many other things, the highest Post Box in the British Isles, before beginning your chosen method of sliding back down again.
