BRIDGING THE STRAITS

Opened a hundred and ninety years ago, Thomas Telford's bridge crosses the Menai Straits, from mainland Wales on to the island of Anglesey. Photograph taken from the Anglesey side, shows some of the peaks in the Snowdonia National Park.
