This is as you might guess from the lettering down it's side is the Screen Machine. It is a mobile cinema that regularly tours the Highlands and the Islands of Scotland bringing the chance for the locals to watch the latest film releases. It was waiting at the ferry terminal on Tiree. I have seen it before when one of my visits to Gigha co-incided with it. The service has been running for about 20 years now. It normally takes three films on tour at a time. The sides open out on site, and it has luxury seats for 80 viewers.
Interestingly it is operated by one man, who acts as the driver, and sets up the cinema on site, sells the tickets, and projects the film.
I don't think he's got time to sell the popcorn.
