No this is not the one that has wintered in my garden for the last two years, it was out on my travels.
Hopefully there is time yet for the garden one to appear, I think it is November before it has turned up in the past.

Funny how attached we get. I have a Cardinal that has lived in or around my garden for the past few years, now if I go a few days without seeing him I begin to worry. What is the usual life span of a Northern Cardinal, I wonder.
