DOWN TO EARTH by markp

DOWN TO EARTH

This little Wren was flitting around and doing a nice impression of being a Tree Creeper, climbing the trunks of some large trees. However he finally flew down to earth and I managed a couple of shots.
Are you doing the rSPB Birdcount at the end of the month.

@365projectorgchristinewebb Thank you Christine, I don't know yet, I have sometimes in the past. Now after feeding for so long with lots of different feeders, I am not sure they would believe my count. I have a very large range of birds coming in, and some of the numbers are very high. For instance, regularly have 12 to 20 Goldfinches on the feeders, max I have counted in the garden is over 50. House Sparrows, supposed to be declining, also can number over 40. A cold snap can push numbers up, I think they must spread the word, during a period of snow, I have had over 24 male Blackbirds and once 30 Wood Pigeons instead of the normal pair.

Great shot, the Wren in my garden always moves off before I can get a picture.

Great pic, I've always found it very hard to capture them, they flit about so quickly!

Nice catch of this sweet little wren - they're fast so you must have been faster!
