YELLOW HEART BUG by markp

YELLOW HEART BUG

Well it's not really, I invented that.
I am not really sure what this tiny bug is. At first I thought it was some kind of Shield Bug, but now I am thinking it might be a type of Capsid. Need a bit more research.

With help from Louise@ roachling it's real name is Grypocoris stys
I'm not an expert but a long way but it looks a little like Grypocoris stysi to me, but perhaps not yet adult? Just a thought.

Definitely looks like Miridae family.

Great close-up - your focus was super.

@roachling Thank you very much Louise for your comment. It spurred me on to actually have another go at trying to identify this bug. So I spent a very interesting half an hour going around in circles. I am more into birds rather than bugs, but what a fascinating subject, the more you delve into it.

So my conclusion is yes, definitely Miridae family, and I think you are spot on with Grypocoris stysi, which is isn't in my two most used bug books.
Thank you very much again.
