The Robins busy feeding their chicks seem to have a regular routine on their trips to the feeders. They prefer one with a soft square block of suet, it is hanging just above this perch. The Robins fly into garden, land on this perch, look up and appear to gauge their next move, which is to launch themselves upwards and fly/hover next to the feeder making a couple of attempts to grab beakfuls of suet and then whizz off back to the nest.
