One of Orkney's challenges is to get the cathedral straight and not leaning back!
Hope your enjoying your second visit up north. I did indeed meet a cyclist today, fitting your description, and waved, which is very Orcadian. Was it you who was taking photos over the pond, down the track at the very end of the road? There are lots of birds, including terns there. Our house over looks the pond.
@sheilag Yes I was down by the pond, but I was photographing the old cottage, not the birds. The camera with the telephoto lens was still in the bag on the bike. Which was a shame because a couple of times the Terns posed nicely for me. I also got some shots of the other old buildings, a bit further back up the track.
I had a few hours clear this afternoon, and I missed that end of the island last time I was up here, so I jumped the ferry. I was in a rush when you saw me, as I thought I had further to go than I did to get that last ferry.
I am up here for about a week.
