A 'woonerf' is a recreation area where pedestrians and cyclists have legal priority over motorists.
The photo was taken at Plaswijckpark, one big place to play around and drive go-karts.
The ones who have to be careful here are not the playing kids but the parents walking around the tracks, mostly without footpath. Of course it would be better if the parent, like me, stayed at the parking lot instead of chasing their children across the field to take pictures. Unfortunately there are only five benches against 100 karts.
