Yesterday's massive solar storm reached Earth this evening and it should have been possible to observe the aurora borealis in The Netherlands. I did not see a thing, despite the clear sky (for a while). So I had to fake it using the Hipsta Matty ALN lens. Perhaps the little satellite dish in the corner intercepted some interference but I believe no fall outs were reported anywhere. As expected.
Cool looking shot. We were supposed to see them even as far south as here, but I did not. Clouds on the second two nights and too much light polution in the city in any case. Out over Puget Sound far away from major city lights they were spotted.
