'Koninginnedag' or Queen's day is a national holiday, known for its nationwide 'vrijmarkt' (free or flea market), at which many Dutch sell their secondhand crap. It is also an opportunity for the 'oranjegekte' (orange madness) and putting out the national flag with orange pennant.
