Due to the current political conflict in the Balkans between Serbia and Kosovo many digital clocks are running behind. Why? All countries connected to the shared electrical power network must continuously deliver their contribution to maintain the 50Hz. Serbia can’t keep up which is why the 50Hz in our network slightly dropped. Cheap clocks depend on the 50Hz instead of a more expensive internal crystal oscilator. A lower Herz value make these simple clocks run slower. Up to 6 minutes since January.
