Maart roert z'n staart en april doet wat het wil

We have two rhyming sayings in Dutch that both refer to changeable weather.

'Maart roert z'n staart', literally: March stirs his tail and 'April doet wat hij wil', literally: April does what he wants. I found a possible translations for the first one: 'the lion of March is roaring'.
I grew up in Wisconsin and your photos reminded me of my childhood!
