Updated version after playing with the curves of the JPEG using digiKam. I like this one a lot better, and thanks to those of you who suggested minor tweaks.
Interestingly, I tried editing the RAW file in digiKam, but it was *so* noisy and flat, and I'm still very new to postprocessing, and after 30 mins of messing with it, I switched to editing the JPEG.
digiKam is a powerful tool, but not well documented at all, and I just couldn't tell what all the knobs and sliders do. I'm thinking about trying something else, but I'm resisting Lightroom because I just don't want yet another subscription for *anything*.
