Took this as I was driving on way to Northeast Georgia. Notice the tear drops on the face which represent the “trail of tears”when the Native Americans
were taken off their land & forced to walk to Oklahoma, by President Andrew Johnson.
that is so powerful, really touches the heart. our indigenous people here suffered shockingly too when white europeans invaded and took over this country. I hope this amazing statue helps drive the lesson home.
