JP Patches had the longest running local kids show in the US. It ended 30 years ago. Today was his last public appearance.

@michelleyoung Thanks. Is there a way to see which of your pictures have been Favd? So far as I know this is the first Fave I have gotten.

He looks tired and a bit sad this will be his last appearance. He'd been fighting with a blood cancer for a number of years. He will be sadly missed. In my heart, I know he will not be forgotten by a whole generation of people who grew up in the Seattle area.

I often think that clowns look sad, but he really is the saddest ever. FAV

@wendywoo He wasn't always a sad clown. He had a kids show from '58-'81. I never saw him when he was on. I just got to know the legend. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eXjoWa1RDKE
