great moment captured - love the applause in the back, too. so cool that you have captured this historic Seattle event. we will look back and think "there was a time when marriage was limited?!"...great job!
@sticksandstones It was a pretty cool thing to be there. I think this is like 1967 when interracial marriage was still illegal in 17 states. Maybe the Prop 8 and DOMA that SCOTUS is taking with be the modern Loving v. Virginia.
@maaikel Slowly people are coming around to the concept that marriage is a statement of love and relationship as well as a social and legal contract. It is not just about breeding like many conservatives argue.
This is brilliant! You had the honour of being at such a wonderful and historic event, and being able to capture it in this beautiful statement is so touching! Love the applause in the background too, just adds something really special to an already perfect moment! Love love love Fav!

@gemtumble It was certainly not an event to be missed. I have other friends who have been married since that day. Once couple was married at a minute past midnight and another couple was married on the 15th after 30 years together.
Don't worry about being behind. I am one of the worst posters here. I look at pictures, but rarely comment. I do love it when people comment on my pictures though.
@mcrt 30 years together and never been able to marry until now, what a wonderful day they must have had. There aren't many couples that make it 30 years these days, let alone marry after 30 :-)
I love commenting, I find so many photos on here that really inspire me!
