That time of year.

I wonder, do the incoming planes approach lined with the runway or highway 10? Would be an interesting first time drive on that highway.

@byrdlip The don't have much choice, but to follow the highway since the runway is parallel to it. Just about 500 feet of center. Every time I have come in they are over the ground, off to the side of the road. There are only four commercial flights a day to the airport. Two prop planes from Anchorage and one jet northbound and one jet southbound. Not very busy. I drive to the end of the road each year. It used to be about 50 miles, 35 of gravel to a glacier calving into the river. Now a bridge washed out 15 miles short of that. http://365project.org/mcrt/365/2013-06-11
