How to capture it – slices
of the journey, the faces
who may be important,
the slant of light that
travels all too quickly
past your scope, five
dots coalescing into a hand,
the focus opening out –
blurred into sky or water –
a white landscape to lose
yourself in, the darkness
exposed further, you are
blown up past your deepest
imaginings, till you yourself
are landscape.
